Entrepreneurs Romi Mahajan, Paras Shah, and Megan Mitchell launch Mellifluous Fusion, an agency focused on PR, positioning, messaging, and narratives for the fusion energy ecosystem and other science-based industries. The company will initially focus on nuclear energy (fission, fusion, and hybrid scenarios) including adjacent areas like powering Data Centers and AI.
“In the fusion energy industry, and others like it, marketing in its traditional sense, has not been emphasized. Naturally, the emphasis was on science, technology, engineering, and operations. Now that the industry has matured and an ecosystem and supply chain have been created, marketing and narrativity have emerged as important. We saw a need and hope to fill it,” said Romi Mahajan, Chairman of Mellifluous Fusion and CEO of ExoFusion, a fusion energy company.
The nuclear fusion industry has garnered over $15 billion of investment and has seen a surfeit of large capital raises in the last year. Governments and private companies are partnering, collaborating, and building what has been deemed as the next “Manhattan Project,” for abundant, clean energy.
Mellifluous Fusion CEO Paras Shah said, “Marketing is the glue that helps us scale our efforts via driving investment, winning public and community confidence, and in inspiring an entire range of people to put their best into accelerating the path to realize Commercially Viable Fusion. We will start with this burgeoning industry and expand to others over the course of our first year.” Board Director Megan Mitchell added, “Our background as a marketing partner to over a dozen science-based companies will hold us in good stead as we aim to produce quick customer value and help our customers grow and succeed.”
The company’s executives and investors also note the growth of conferences, meetups, and commentary on fusion and related industries; this bodes well for the development of a powerful ecosystem.
